OROKLINI Lake now has an information kiosk to help visitors admire the wetland and the variety of bird species.
The information kiosk was created as part of a three-year EU-funded restoration and management project that cost €797,000.
The kiosk will be inaugurated by Muriel Drukman of the LIFE Unit of the European Commission at 6pm on Tuesday, May 6 May, where organisers hope that flamingoes, herons, black-winged stilts and spur-winged lapwings will also show up.
More than 200 pupils from different schools have already visited the site and enjoyed birdwatching and participated in awareness raising games.
