The crisis in Ukraine and the Cyprus problem were among issues discussed on Thursday between President Nicos Anastasiades and Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexey Meshkov, who is currently visiting the island.
Speaking after the meeting, Meshkov said they had an “important meeting” and that they confirmed the “excellent relations” between the two countries.
“We are going forward. We want to send more Russian tourists to Cyprus and we will keep in touch and work together”, he added.
Asked if they discussed the crisis in Ukraine and the Cyprus problem, Meshkov replied, “Of course”. (CNA)
