Forged Sterling found in Ayia Napa

The Pound is hovering near a 3-month low vs dollar

Police in Ayia Napa are investigating after fake Sterling noted were discovered.
At around 1pm on Thursday a man thought to be a foreigner, aged about 20 went to a travel agent and asked a member of staff to exchange two £50 notes into euro.
As soon as the employee saw the notes she realised they were fake and asked the man where he got them from. He said he had found them on the beach and then he fled.
Police are searching for the man while the two notes are being investigated.
