Limassol drug arrests

TWO MEN and a woman were arrested in Limassol on Friday night for possession of drugs, following searches by drug enforcement officers, police said on Saturday.
Shortly after 6 pm, police stopped a car to perform a check in Limassol. The 21-year-old male driver complied, but his passenger, a 21-year-old woman, swiftly got out of the car and rushed to another car. Police searched both vehicles and found a plastic bag containing 7 grams of cannabis.
Following a court ordered issued early on Saturday, the two were arrested and remanded.
In another incident, a 21-year-old man was arrested after police raided his house and he was caught dumping items through his kitchen window onto an adjacent plot of land.
During the ensuing search inside the home, police found and confiscated as evidence an electronic scale, half a gram of cannabis, the amount of €85 in cash and three mobile phones.
Further investigation near the spot where the suspect threw the items revealed two plastic bags containing approximately 25 grams of cannabis.
