Students urged to help their fellow man

Elderly and unemployed are among those seeking free care at the volunteer clinics

By Staff Reporter

The Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council yesterday urged school and university students to spend their summer creatively through volunteerism.

The council asks students to make a difference and live a unique experience by helping people and encouraging their friends to collect foodstuffs, to clean a park in their neighbourhood, a beach or any other area in need of cleaning.

Other activities suggested were keeping the elderly company by reading to them, playing board games or just chatting.
