Foreign ministry issues travel advisory for Iraq

The foreign ministry on Monday advised Cypriot citizens not to travel to Iraq due to the escalation of violence.

“The citizens of the Republic of Cyprus are advised against all travel to Iraq, as the security situation continues to deteriorate,” a Travel Advice issued by the Cypriot MFA notes.
“All Cypriot citizens who reside in the country are advised to limit their movement, inform the Cypriot authorities there (see below for contact details) on their current status, and monitor news reports (international and local) for developments,” the Advice adds.
