65-year-old British tourist in ICU for heatstroke

THE condition of the 65-year-old James Brander, hospitalised on Sunday for heatstroke, is starting to stabilise the deputy manager of the Paphos General Hospital Marios Philippou said on Monday.
He was transferred semi-comatose to the Paphos hospital on Sunday at around 15:00 and is expected to exit the intensive care unit soon.
Brander, who reportedly was exposed to the sun for a long period of time as he socialised with friends, is on holiday from the UK. He was staying at his friends’ house in Tala.
