Spotlight on Lefkara lace

Lefkara lace and other traditions will be on display

THE CYPRUS National Commission for UNESCO urges teachers of visual arts to apply for a seven-day workshop on Lefkara lace, which includes a week-long stay at the village.
The programme focuses on the protection and promotion of Lefkara lace through education. The aim will be to seek ways to incorporate Lefkara lace in the school visual arts curriculum, as well as creating an e-book which will be available for educational purposes.
The workshop is sponsored by the Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO, in cooperation with the teachers-embroiderers of Lefkara.
