€11,700 stolen from Ayia Napa home

A safe box containing €11,700 in cash was reported stolen from a house in Ayia Napa on Sunday.

The perpetrators, who reportedly broke into the house between 8 and 9pm, removed the box, which was attached to a wall.

Police investigations showed that they probably entered the house from a door on the first floor which was closed but not locked.

The owner of the house, a 35-year-old woman, named no suspects.
