Man injured as car crashes into garden

A 23-year-old man was injured on Sunday evening in a road accident.
According to police, at around 7pm an accident took place in Methanon street, Limassol, when the 23-year-old drove his car off the road and crashed into the fence of a house, after hitting several metal posts and a lamp-post.
The Fire Service rushed to the scene and was able to remove the man from his mangled vehicle, and an ambulance transported him to the Limassol General, where he was diagnosed with a fracture on his spine and ribs.
He was subsequently transferred to the Nicosia General for further treatment.
Limassol traffic police have announced they are investigating the causes of the accident.
