Dog found hanged in Kyperounta

A dog was found hanged on a tree near the village of Kyperounta, Limassol district, on Monday, a press release from the Animal Party said. The dog was discovered by a resident of Kyperounta who immediately notified authorities.

“Our society is ailing. Recent incidents of animal violence are an indication that we don’t mend our ways,” said the party.

It said it expected a thorough investigation by police and veterinary services.

“We expect that the perpetrators will be found and brought to justice. We call on anyone who has information on the incident to contact us. All information given will be confidential. Our goal is to facilitate the investigation so this heinous and barbaric act is investigated,” the party said.
