Charred body found in gutted house (Updated)

THE CHARRED body of a 55-year-old Romanian man has been discovered by firemen in a burnt out house in Livadia, Larnaca district, according to the police.
Firemen discovered the body at around 2.30 pm on Thursday, after they put out the fire.
According to police sources, three men and a woman – all Romanian nationals – were currently residing in the house. Police are trying to locate the other residents. An eye witness told police that the 55-year-old was seen leaving a nearby supermarket earlier in the day, holding what seemed to be a bottle of wine.
The woman is married to one of the men in the house but police couldn’t yet verify whether the man who died was the woman’s husband or a friend.
The site has been closed off while police officers investigate.
