Arson attack on court worker’s car

The car of a 42-year-old employee of the Larnaca District court was set on fire in the early hours of Wednesday, police said.

The front part of the car was severely damaged but no one was injured.

According to the police report, the fire department received a call at 2.50am saying that the car parked in front of the 42-year-old’s house was on fire.

The fire-fighters put out the fire and conducted a preliminary investigation on the scene, concluding that the fire was due to arson.

Police reports said that the incident was connected to the woman’s estranged husband.
