Archbishop due home this week

Archbishop Chrysostomos

ARCHBISHOP Chrysostomos was released from hospital on Sunday, according to a statement issued by the Church of Cyprus, and he is expected back in Cyprus within the week.

The Archbishop underwent successful surgery in a specialised facility abroad, said the statement.

The head of the Cyprus Church was treated for spinal problems. A statement said the conditions were diagnosed in recent tests the 73-year-old primate underwent after feeling weakness in his right leg.
