Tourist mugged in Larnaca

A 32-year-old man was mugged in Larnaca on Sunday evening, with the attackers taking with them a handbag containing a €500 mobile phone, police said.

According to the report, the tourist was walking down Mehmet Ali Street in Larnaca along with a friend, when three men attacked him, hit him with their fists, threw him down the ground and took his handbag.

The three men were described as having short black hair, were of medium height and were wearing track suits.

The 32-year-old was taken to the Larnaca General Hospital where doctors found bruises and lacerations on his hands and back.
