Fake registration plate leads to arrest

A 25-year-old man was arrested in Larnaca after police officers found him driving a motorbike with a fake registration plate, no insurance or driver’s licence and no helmet.

The 25-year-old was stopped by officers for a routine check. They discovered that the frame and engine of the motorbike he was driving had been modified and the registration plate was fake.

The report said that the 25-year-old had failed to give sufficient explanation as to the origin of the motorbike and he was placed in custody on suspicion of possessing stolen property.
