Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman will be in Cyprus on Wednesday on a two-day visit during which he will discuss bilateral issues, energy and the developments in Cyprus` Exclusive Economic Zone.
Lieberman will meet his Cypriot counterpart Ioannis Kasoulides, while in the framework of political consultations between the two countries, discussions will take place at the foreign ministry with the participation of delegations from both countries, headed by the two ministers.
Discussions will focus on bilateral relations, the Cyprus issue, energy, the peace process in the Middle East, regional and international issues of mutual interest as well as the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean, in the light of Turkish actions in Cyprus` Exclusive Economic Zone.
During his visit, Lieberman will be received by President Nicos Anastasiades and President of the House of Representatives Yiannakis Omirou. He will also meet DISY chief and the Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign and European Affairs, Averof Neophytou.
The Israeli official will also attend a working lunch in the presence of members of the Cyprus – Israel business association.
Lieberman will depart Thursday evening. (CNA)
