Housemates remanded for burglary

A 42-year-old man has been remanded after a warrant was issued against him in connection with the burglary and robbery of a store on October 30.

According to a police report, following investigation at his home in Nicosia – performed with the consent of his 19-year-old housemate – police found 10 bottles of alcoholic drinks, several bottles of shampoo and various other items that were the loot from robberies.

Under interrogation, both the 42-year-old and the 19-year-old admitted to six additional burglaries and robberies.

The two were remanded in connection with the incidents.
