NOW seems to be the time for art exhibitions so here are two that are still running and you may not want to miss.
The fist is painting exhibition My Sea by Limassol-born artist George Skotinos at Opus 39 Gallery in Nicosia. His work has been presented in a number of solo and group exhibitions around the world, such as, New York, London, Hamburg, and Moscow.
The second is at the Gallery Kypriaki Gonia in Larnaca, where the new painting collection by George Georgiades is hosted. The artist graduated in 2010 from the Athens School of Fine Arts. In that same year he presented his first solo exhibition in Kefalonia, Greece. But before that he started participating in group exhibitions in Cyprus in 2009.
To date his works have appeared in a number of exhibitions both in Cyprus and abroad and he has received three honorary awards. In particular, he has taken part in exhibitions in Cyprus, Greece, the Netherlands and Egypt.
In addition to painting, in 2007 he became involved in stage design. So far he has created the sets for various theatrical plays, childrens’ shows, and short films.
Each exhibition is very different from the other, but both flirt with the mind to inspire.
