Weak rouble to blame for 23% tourism revenue slump, business group says (Update)

Revenue from tourism decreased 23 per cent to 273.4 million euros in September compared to the respective month a year ago, the statistical service said.

The September slump in revenue, reflects attempts by Cypriot professionals to act counter a declining trend in arrivals from Russia, Zacharias Ioannides, director general of the Association of Cyprus Hotels, said.
