By Maria Gregoriou
Tomorrow Ioanna Markidou, an amateur photographer, will showcase her photography collection under the name imark my blues at the 6X6 Centre for Photography in Limassol.
Markidou, who is an accountant by profession, will share with us in her first exhibition a number of captured images as seen through her eyes. As the title of the exhibition suggests, the common thread that links each image together is the colour blue.
Blue, which is one of the three primary colours in photography, maybe the colour or light of the sky, the colour of the deep sea which extends its waves to the shore, and the colour may reflect the way we feel when the ups and downs and more down than up.
The colour, together with a click of the camera, can connect the viewer to their past or provide them with the opportunity to preserve a memory without the need for words, or even to open-up a whole world of interpretation.
The exhibition will only be on display for three days so take the chance to dive into a photographic tapestry of blue.
