A minute with

A minute with Sophia Patsalides Cyprus representative at the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest and teenager ambassador of MAZI foundation for eating disorders and obesity

Where do you live?
I live in Nicosia with my parents and my two sisters

Best childhood memory?
I would say best teenage memory… my performance on the Junior Eurovision stage in Malta a month ago! It will definitely be a memory I will keep in my heart forever!

Most frequented restaurant and absolute favourite dish? What food would you really turn your nose up to?
My favourite restaurant has to be TGI Fridays and really I like every dish! Don’t bring me oysters and shrimps!

What did you have for breakfast?
Delicious homemade bagels.

Would you class yourself as a day or night person? What’s your idea of the perfect night/day out?
Even though I can stay awake for a long time, I’m a day person. A perfect day out, would be breakfast at a cafe with my sister or my best friend.

Best book ever read?
Ansolutelyyyy The Fault in our Stars! Too cliché, but I really loved it! I’m a deep thinker and a literature-person,so yeah.

Favourite film of all time?
Freaky Friday – I watched it over 20 times. I don’t know why, it’s just really interesting and funny.

What’s your dream trip?
My dream trip would be in the USA. I want to visit Broadway, Hollywood, Miami!

What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
80s and 90s hits

What is always in your fridge?

Dream house: rural retreat or urban dwelling? Where would it be, what would it be like?
Urban dwelling definitely. I’m a really, really energetic person and I always want to do something. I feel alive when I do things and I wouldn’t like living outside town at all. I dream my house to be huge, minimalistic, clear cut edges and it will definitely have a studio inside, a home cinema room, a rehearsal and performance room, a swimming pool, a grand piano, a nice and cozy living room.

If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
Queen – the whole band. I admire them and love them and would love to be advised by them.

If the world is ending in 24 hours what would you do?
Stay in with my loved ones and sing and probably cry.

What is your greatest fear?
Not being a responsible adult.
