Cocaine arrest

A 35-YEAR-OLD man was arrested on Friday after police found 52 grams of cocaine in his car, according to the police report.

Acting on a tip-off, Drug Squad officers stopped the 35-year-old’s car and after a brief search discovered the cocaine. The 35-year-old was arrested along with his wife, a third country national, who was also in the car with him.

Police were then lead to a Central Prison inmate, who was also placed under arrest in connection with the case.

The 35-year-old is expected to appear before the Larnaca district court on Saturday.
