Some schools closed for second day

Youths in Palechori did not go to school

SCHOOLS in mountain rural areas closed on Thursday due to bad weather, while some remained closed for the second day in a row.

An official at the Education ministry said that the Lemithou and Agros high schools remained closed for the second day and that the Lefkara elementary school that operated on Wednesday was closed on Thursday.

Bad weather caused the Trimiklini regional kindergarten to remain closed for the day, as well as the Moutoullas kindergarten.

The Kyperounta, Agros, Pelendri and Kato Platres primary schools and kindergartens remained closed for the second day.

In Nicosia district the Farmakas and Palaichori primary schools remained closed for the second day.

In Panayia in Paphos, both the primary school and kindergarten were closed for day two.

The Education ministry said that they would re-evaluate the situation and make a new announcement on Friday morning.
