When it rains there’s peace

When the downpours hit Cyprus, suddenly it was like living in a civilised country. There were no barking dogs as the owners did not want their little luvvies to get wet. The dog excrement which litters the pavements and roads near my home floated away to some other unsuspecting victims and the boy racers took the day off.
