Putting a spin on things

By Maria Gregoriou

We all know that a Saturday night is just the right time to get your dance shoes on and give the dance floor what for (what that means exactly is up to you, but one thing is for sure, there will be no tears on the dance floor).

This Saturday, all the way from Greece, DJ Thodoris Triantafillou will be setting the atmosphere alight with his electric beats at the Ammos Beach Bar in Larnaca.

The man from Athens grew up in the 70’s and was very much influenced by the sounds of the era. It is this disco feel which leads him to excel in his musical career, releasing track after track of raw energy combined with a signature sound which has attracted the attention of many professionals in the industry.

Triantafillou (whose first name means gift of God, or who rather should be called gift to the DJ box) reached the top of the Greek iTunes charts with his track The Way. But did he reach a position of success and play it safe? Of course not, no artist should, he continued to work with others in the field and gain more and more fame.

Becoming a brand name in his own right, he has been hand-picked to perform at some of the most notorious European clubs in Europe and festivals.

This month saw the release of his latest album entitled Trilogy Chapter 1, so get ready to be part of his world tour to promote the album and, as we mentioned in our introduction, put your dancing shoes on, it is going to be one heck of a musical ride.
