Bomb explosion in Limassol

A bomb that went off early Monday morning caused extensive damage to a car in Limassol, a police report said.

According to the report, the explosion took place at 3.20am after a bomb placed at the front of a parked car went off, while the vehicle had been parked outside its 42-year-old owner’s home.

Police went to the scene for investigations, which revealed that the bomb had been an improvised device.

The blast damaged the car heavily, with two other cars parked nearby sustained lighter damage.

Limassol CID continues to investigate the case.
