Thatch House opened its doors in 1984, so there is a many year guarantee of quality and service that comes with choosing to go there. Being literally a thatch house surrounded by serene gardens, makes the bar stand out from all the others in Limassol.
As soon as you walk in, a sense of comfort and calmness greets you due to the combination of the green gardens, the authentic thatch house, which embraces wood and nature in all its glory, and the beautiful fireplace in the epicentre of the bar. It’s an ideal place to go and unwind after a long day.
The atmosphere of the restaurant demands that a customer unwind with a cool, refreshing beer, from a great selection of imported beers chilled to perfection. A cool Erdinger is just what the doctor ordered. The imported beers also include the familiar Russian beer Baltika.
If bee is not your thing a wide variety of wines is also on offer. Pubs are not usually the prime place to visit when in search of wine but Thatch House is completely different as the wine list gives a tempting selection to everyone. Embracing the atmosphere one should go for the fruity delight of the Cote du Rhone from France. The fruity taste of the wine as well as its lasting pleasant finish deem it to be an idyllic choice for the night.
If a cheese platter is in your thoughts, with a selection of cheese and seasonal fruit, then the best choice is the Palamino, a white dry wine that will complement the platter and offer a fruity and smooth taste. Moreover, the classic cocktails, like a margarita or a pina colada and more are available. All made to live up to their long reputations.
All in all, Thatch House makes a great place to visit and unwind after a long day. Teamed with a great kitchen, and a warm staff and affordable prices it is an unmatched.
