By Stelios Orphanides

The government is facing almost 2 billion in maturing debt this year, which excludes a 1.1 billion euros security, part of the debt issued to recapitalise Cyprus Popular Bank in 2012, the public debt management office said.

The overall value of foreign law securities maturing this year is 903 million euros, plus a total of 900 million euros in domestic law securities also maturing in 2015, the PDMO, which is a unit of the finance ministry, said in a statement on its website.
