A 39-year-old was arrested in Nicosia on Sunday, after police found 37 grammes of cocaine in his possession in his apartment, they said.

Acting on a tip-off, police searched the man’s car, coming up empty, and subsequently raided his apartment. There, according to the police report, they found the cocaine stashed in a hidden compartment in the man’s kitchen.

In the same compartment police found €2,420 and two scales. The amount of €330 found in his person was also confiscated.
