Doing the Dougie

By Maria Gregoriou

Looking for an event to help you get your swag on? Well, don’t sweat it (or swagger it if you prefer) any longer. Club Deep in Larnaca has just the thing to get you in a party mood on Saturday, all the way from America, as the group Cali Swag District will be showing us what for on the dance floor.

The band, who say they’ll be teaching you how to Dougie (a hip-hop dance), are Smoove Yung, JayAre, and resident dancer M-Bone.

If you just read that and changed your mind about the event because you don’t want to leave the comfort of your home just to learn some hip-hop moves, don’t worry, Teach Me How To Dougie is merely the name of the band’s platinum-selling debut single.

Since the single’s release in 2010, the dougie has become a popping sensation and the boys from the band have seen their dance moves performed by Justin Bieber and Chris Brown.

So, if you are a hip-hop fan and you like to be in the company of international musicians, then hey, what the hip-hop are you waiting for?

Cali Swag District
