May tranquillity be with you

By Maria Greogriou

The mind, body and spirit should be synchronised so we can bask in the essence of a healthy life – but, in this day and age, the three are rarely on the same page, and what’s the main culprit? That master fiend which no one can really escape, stress.

So stress is something we all try to avoid or at least overcome, and most of us find different ways to deal with it (as we get older and know ourselves better). But sometimes we need that extra push, that coming together with people who can inspire us and that positive vibe which is passed on from one chirpy chap (or lass) to the next.

Next weekend the Mind, Body and Spirit festival 2015 in Limassol will give you the perfect chance to feed your mind with optimistic thoughts, relax your body and re-connect with your spirit.

The Saint Raphael hotel will be hosting over 100 exhibitors, giving you the chance to attend free inspirational lectures and workshops and giving you an inside view into what the future holds for you with psychic and palm readings.

Among the participants joining the wellness festival, you can expect to see Happy Buddha Kung Fu Meditation and Arts Centre, who will help you discover secrets of the mind and body which will help you get rid of anxiety and nervousness. Popi Paschali will also be there, showing us what she can create with powertex, an environmental friendly material which she uses to make sculptures, paintings and everyday objects.

Paschali won’t be the only artist to join the wellness team, Fanitsa Petrou will be sharing her tarot imagery, angel art and calendars to help our souls find peace, and also give us illustrations to brighten up our homes.

If you live in the capital you are sure to have heard of, if not visited, the Organic Garden. The bio store will also be among the exhibitors, showcasing organic herbs, spices and teas, as well as herbal mixtures.

Apart from this you can also join some free meditation and yoga sessions and also try some delicious health foods. The festival enables you to try out some unique products and gifts, such as jewellery, cosmetics, clothes, crystals, and body treatments. Those behind the stalls can also answer any questions you may have, so you can do some research if you’re serious about making a healthy change or enhancing your healthy lifestyle.

The Phoenix room in the hotel will be the place where spiritual and health experts will be hosting various yoga and meditation workshops happening back to back on both days.
If you prefer learning more about self defence, fitness, self-improvement, crystals and Feng Shui, then the festival’s schedule also caters for these needs.

The full schedule of presentations for both days can be found on http://mbscyprus.com/events-calendar/, and a list of exhibitors is just a finger tip away (as they say) at http://mbscyprus.com/mbsexhibitors/.
