Rate cut sparks strong interest for restructurings, new loans, coop chairman says

Nicholas Hadjiyiannis, chairman of the Cooperative Central Bank said that following the latest interest rate cut on loans sparked vivid interest among cooperative bank customers.

“There is strong interest from customers and they have come for both restructuring and new loans,” Hadjiyiannis said in an interview to state radio CyBC today. “In the first days, there was some hesitation. It was hard to believe that there were such extensive rate cuts”.
