Cyprus needs more reforms to boost productivity, university report says

Far reaching structural reforms are the key in increasing of productivity in the Cypriot economy and help it catch up with those of West and Central European countries, a University of Cyprus report said.

In 2000 to 2012, “the rate of productivity growth of Cyprus economy is, on average, 2.3 per cent, the third highest in the sample used in our analysis,” the economic research centre of the university said in document on its website.
