On ya BMX

By Maria Gregoriou

If you love bikes, especially BMX bikes, then you will shoot right out of your seat when you find out that three professional BMX riders, who are part of the Éclat pro BMX team, will be here to meet and greet all you fans tomorrow at Micromania (who were the first to introduce BMX to Cyprus) in Limassol.

The boys representing BMX are bike riders Bruno Hoffmann, Alex Kennedy and Kilian Roth. The trio will be here for some filming of their wheely magic, but they are also squeezing some time into their schedule to sign some posters, give us some pointers on how to ride to perfection and join in a party mood.

Hoffmann said that all this riding business started for him because he ‘kinda started riding because it wasn’t something that everyone else does.’ The 22-year-old has proven that he has what it takes as he has been a part of X Games, BMX Masters series of World Cup and World Championship events.

Kennedy has been named one of the “most progressive” street riders to date. The kid with an eye for adventure just may be riding some banisters on Saturdays (if you ask nicely).

And the final man to complete the trio is Roth, who is known as the German free-coasting wizard as his bike jumps, stunts and, yes, why not riding acrobatics are sick (yes, the slang meaning of the word.)

As if that is not enough, in order to celebrate this great occasion, Micromania is offering 25% off all BMX bikes for the month of March. So for lack of a better phrase, get on ya bike and get down there tomorrow.
