Louis sees more tourists in Greece following ‘Grexit’

By Stelios Orphanides
HOTEL and cruise ship operator Louis Plc said that should Greece ditch the euro and return to the drachma, the country’s tourism industry will benefit, while the impact for the company will be contained.

“Income in general is anticipated to go up both for cruising and the hotel sectors in Greece and even though we wouldn’t encourage or welcome a ‘Grexit’, we expect that such an eventuality will be beneficial for the tourist industry,” a company official said.
