A minute with Aliki Chrysochou Soprano

Where do you live?
I live between UK and Cyprus with my husband

Best childhood memory?
One night with my brother, when our mum and dad kept shushing us to go to sleep and we couldn’t cause we just could not stop laughing about something really silly!

Most frequented restaurant and absolute favourite dish?
When I am in Cyprus i love to go to Zen they have the most delicious sushi or Draught at the castle area in Cyprus for chicken parmesan salad:)

What did you have for breakfast?
Oat pancake with strawberries and peanut butter and honey. Yummy!

Would you class yourself as a day or night person? What’s your idea of the perfect night/day out?
Day person. Perfect day out… Anywhere by the sea, with good company and delicious food 🙂

Best book ever read?
I have come across many books that I like, it always depends what I’m like when I read it, at what certain period of my life , but one I really remember that touched me was by a Greek author Chrysiida Demoulidou To Stavrodromi ton Psixon (Crossroad of Souls). A very strong love story and, the power of time.

Favourite film of all time?
The Sound of Music… Its a classic… And the gorgeous Julie Andrews… Heavenly voice, cute quirkiness, an absolute lady.

Favourite holiday destination? What’s your dream trip?
Anywhere relaxed, tranquil, in the summer period, next to the sea… And a destination that you can’t go wrong and we always return to are the Greek islands. It can combine anything that one asks for whether it is a family holiday, couples retreat or for more partying.

What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
Sarah Brightman Eden Album, one of my favourites. I always come back to it.

What is always in your fridge?
Milk, fruit, and water 🙂

Dream house: rural retreat or urban dwelling? Where would it be, what would it be like?
Would be on the beach, with sound of the waves as I watched the sunrise first thing. Probably would like a combination of both rural retreat and urban dwelling, but not too techie!

If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
Maria Callas… Such an interesting, dynamic, and sensitive woman full of fire!

If the world is ending in 24 hours what would you do?
I would spend my last hours until the last minute with my husband, listen to Philip Glass violin concerto Second Movement.

What is your greatest fear?
Being in a physical state when I can no longer look after myself and become a burden to others around me.

Tell me a joke:
Two zeros are walking in the street, then they see an eight approaching… The two zeros say ‘Oh…I see we are wearing a belt today are we?!’ 🙂
