65-year-old arrested at Paphos airport with drugs

A 65-year-old Portuguese man was arrested on Wednesday after arriving at Paphos airport with drugs.

According to the police, the man arrived at 6.45pm from Brussels when he was pulled to one side for inspection.

With the man’s permission, he was then taken to Paphos General Hospital for an Xray where two foreign items were found inside his body.

He then passed a condom that has five grammes of a white powder in it that resembled cocaine.

He was arrested and put on remand.
