Two burglaries in Paphos

Paphos police are investigating two burglaries, one at the residence of a 68-year-old woman, and the other at the house of a 37-year-old Ukrainian woman in Tala.

The 68-year-old woman told the police that between the hours of 6.30pm and midnight, burglars entered her house and stole €10,000 in cash, and jewellery.

After an investigation at the scene police concluded that the burglars broke in from the outside door.  They collected evidence from the scene.

Paphos police also responded to another burglary call by a 37-year-old Ukrainian woman, who told police that she was robbed on Wednesday morning at her house in Tala.

Police concluded after their investigation, that the burglars entered and exited through a window.  They managed to break into a safe and steal and unknown amount of money, an iPad, and a laptop worth €2,300.

According to the police, they gathered evidence, even though they are leaning towards a suspect.

Police warn people to be mindful of their protecting their homes and of keeping cash in the house.
