Man jailed for traffic offences

A Nicosia man has been jailed for 21 days for speeding and other traffic violations, the Cyprus News Agency reported on Friday.

According to the reports the man, aged 30, was found guilty of speeding and ignoring directives from traffic police and failure to comply with traffic-light signals.

The incident took place in October 2012 on Stasinou Avenue in Nicosia where the man was caught speeding at 154kmph in a 50kmph zone.
