Cooler weekend ahead as temperatures due to drop

A rainy Easter and cooler temperatures are predicted for the weekend.

Thursday was expected to be somewhat cloudy with a chance of isolated showers in some areas, mainly in coastal and mountainous areas, becoming worse by nightfall.

Temperatures are expected to be around 18C on the coast, 20C inland and 10C in the mountains.

Isolated showers and storms are predicted for Friday with snow expected in the Troodos. Temperatures are expected to take a dive; 15C to 16C inland and on coastal areas and around 4C in the mountains.

On the weekend, a slight improvement is expected, but rain and storms are epxeted to dominate with a small increase in temperatures.
