Limassol bus company strike

Workers at Limassol bus company EMEL will stage a 24-hour strike on Wednesday over money owed to them by management since October 2013.

Unions said they had sent the company two warning letters late last year and earlier this year about the outstanding debts.

But the company failed to meet its obligations, outstanding since October 2013, the unions said.

“The decision gives the necessary time to all those involved to discuss and solve the problem, which unfortunately emerged for the umpteenth time.”

The unions did not rule an escalation of their measures.
