Jordanian Senate President plans official visit

Jordanian Senate President Abdur-Rauf Rawabdeh arrives in Cyprus on Monday evening as the head of a Senate delegation for an official visit following the invitation of House President Yiannakis Omirou.

During the visit the delegation will be received by President Nicos Anastasiades and will have separate meetings with Omirou and Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides.

Also part of the delegation are Senators Mohamed Al Dweib Rapporteur of the Education Committee and Nayef al Kadi and Mohammad Alzuher Rapporteur of the Committee on Administrative Matters.

The House President will also host an official lunch in honour of Rawabdeh. During their visit the Jordanian Senators will also visit Famagusta Mayor and former House of Representatives President Alexis Galanos.

Parliamentary Committee on Education President Georgios Tasou will welcome the delegation on behalf of Omirou at Larnaca airport.
