By Maria Gregoriou

Technopolis 20 cultural centre in Paphos is one of many venues bringing fine classical music, and it shows no signs of slowing down as it ends April with a chamber music recital for piano and violin on Wednesday at 8pm.

Kyriakou, from Limassol, studied piano in the Czech Republic at Charles University. He succesfully participated in many competitions and piano courses. Nicolaou, from Paphos, graduated from the Conservatory and Music Academy of Prague with distinction. He has performed in many concerts and broadcasts in Cyprus, as well as in the Czech Republic, Germany, UK, Israel, France and Greece.

The pair will be performing Song without words, op. 3, No.1 by Nikolaς Economou, Sonatina for violin and piano by Bohuslav Martinu, Alfred Schnittke’s Suite in the old Style for violin and piano, Mozart’s Sonata in G major K. 301 for violin and piano, Robert Schumann’s Fantasiestücke op. 73 and the theme song from Schindler’s List by John Williams.
