More than 200 athletes from Europe chose Nicosia to conduct their training, from January to April 2015 at the facilities of the Pancyprian Gymnastic Association Stadium (GSP Stadium).

According to a press release, the GSP sports centre is a pole of attraction for national athletics teams from various European countries and many European and Cypriot football teams.

Foreign sports associations which choose GSP as their training centre include Germany, Hungary, Sweden, Romania and Greece.

Director of GSP Fivos Constantinides said that the GSP facilities and the Allegra Sports Center are being constantly upgraded to cover the needs of European federations. Next autumn, he said, GSP will begin the construction of a swimming pool.

This will make GSP one of the best sports centres in the Mediterranean, he concluded.
