Jet2 launches Glasgow and Newcastle flights from Larnaca

Jet2.com on Wednesday announced two new routes – Glasgow and Newcastle – from Larnaca.

The Larnaca-Glasgow route commenced on Wednesday and the Larnaca-Newcastle route will commence on May 27.

Each route will be operated once a week, every Wednesday. The Glasgow and Newcastle routes are also available from Paphos airport twice a week; every Wednesday and Saturday and every Wednesday and Sunday respectively. Jet2.com also connects both Larnaca and Paphos, with East Midlands (Nottingham), Leeds Bradford (Yorkshire) and Manchester.

Wes Porter, Chief Executive Officer of Hermes Airports, welcomed the expansion of Jet2.com and the new routes and noted that “the strengthening of the air connectivity between Cyprus and Britain is a key element in the effort to recover the tourist arrivals from the United Kingdom to Cyprus.”

Steve Heapy, Chief Executive of Jet2.com, said: “Cyprus is an extremely important part of our network, and the new routes to and from Larnaca are the perfect additions to our schedule. With the summer season now upon us, I’d urge those thinking of taking a trip back to Britain to book now and take advantage of our 10 per cent discount off all flights.
