Police arrest armed robbery suspect

A 47-year-old man was arrested early on Wednesday on suspicion of robbing a Limassol kiosk at knifepoint, police said.

The incident happened at 9.30pm on Tuesday. The man entered the kiosk using a brown plastic bag with holes in it to cover his face. After threatening the female employee with a knife, he fled the scene with €700.

Police managed to identify him from after eyewitness descriptions. He was detained for questioning.
