Doctor has €28,500 stolen from briefcase

A 53-year-old doctor from a private clinic in Limassol has reported the theft of a briefcase containing €28,500 from his car, police said.

According to the police report, the briefcase was stolen on Tuesday. The doctor told police that the only time the briefcase left his sight was when he visited another clinic.

He said that he locked the briefcase in the trunk of his car and left the keys with the receptionist.

When he left the clinic the doctor realised that two envelopes that were inside the briefcase –containing €28,500 in total- were missing.

According to the police report the investigators are questioning the clinic’s employees.
