Trapped in upbringing

As of tomorrow the theatrical performance from the Neos Kosmos Theatre (Athens) Stamatia will tour the cities of Nicosia, Paphos and Limassol.
The play, directed by Vangelis Theodoropoulos, is set in postwar Greece and portrays the personal and family story of Stamatia Argyropoulou, played by Eleni Ouzounidou.

Stamatia is the daughter of a middle class civil servant born in Greece in the mid-1930s and educated with the moral values of the time. She is now engaged to a captain of the Greek National Army and can only relate to what is happening to her and the people around her through the ethical, national and religious view and values of the time. Something that leaves her unable to experience and accept the life she is living.
