Street food is back

By Maria Gregoriou

For anyone who went to the Fork Food Market last year and had a dish of pulled-pork, something from the Thai vegetarian menu, one of those double-decker burgers, and then ended it off with some red velvet cake or what seems to resemble a massive ice-cream cone filled with cream, get ready you are about to treat your taste buds to some more of the same – and according to some, even better food.

If you went to the Gay Pride on Saturday then you would have already tasted the first flavours. But if you didn’t manage to don’t hold your belly in despair, the Fork Food Market will remain at the Municipal Gardens of Nicosia for every Friday of June.

But what to expect? Some burgers and Gua bao (steamed buns filled with pork normally) just like last year but there will also be new dishes to try.

Still don’t know if a walk down town is worth it? Just take a look at the Fork Food Market’s facebook page, but be warned, you will be a tad bit hungry after going through all the photos of some of the dishes.

Now we have intrigued your hungry side enough, just wait until Friday when you can be served from 7pm until 11pm. You can also continue drinking at 12am, when the bar closes.
